Claude + Topo integration: what the July 2026 outbound benchmarks show
Topo's July 2026 outbound benchmarks are a goldmine for any leader who needs results in September. How to use Topo's new AI Agent, and how to put Claude to work across the rest of the sales cycle — that is what this article is about.

Topo's AI Agent is now live for every customer. It is an agent rather than a chatbot: it acts on every page of the platform, it has been given a memory and a skillset so it learns how your team works, your outbound staples and your best practices, and it proposes and implements outbound moves that you approve, edit or review. Read Topo's AI Agent 101. Topo's own announcement, August 2026.
So where does Claude fit? Claude connects to Topo through MCP to launch campaigns, update prospect lists and sync buying signals back to your CRM. The two layers do different jobs: Topo's agent is the trained expert inside Topo, while Claude reads what Topo cannot see — the CRM, the open pipeline, the product data, the call notes — and decides what a campaign should say and which accounts belong in it. Topo is a Paris-based AI SDR platform that handles sourcing, qualification and first-touch outreach.
The reason this integration matters is visible in Topo's own benchmark data. Across all Topo customers in July 2026, the average positive reply rate was 0.96%. The top 10% reached 7.52% — a 7.8x gap on the same platform, the same quotas and the same channel. The variable is not the tool. It is what the sequence says and who receives it, which is precisely the layer Claude operates on.
The teams we talk to want the same thing: Claude connected to Topo inside their own environment — their CRM, their data, their security review — not a demo tenant. That is what a scoping call is for. A scoped connection typically goes live in two weeks.
Executive summary: key findings from the July 2026 data
Positive reply rate spreads 7.8x between average and top-decile Topo customers — 0.96% against 7.52%, on the same platform and the same sending quotas. Source: Topo, July Performance Wrapped, July 2026.
Open rate spreads only 1.3x over the same population — 43% average against 56% top decile. Deliverability is largely a solved problem across the customer base; what happens after the open is not. Source: Topo, July Performance Wrapped, July 2026.
The July campaign of the month reached a 10.4% positive reply rate on LinkedIn only — 1,763 leads contacted across 6 connected profiles, 27.4% total reply rate. No signal trigger, one channel decision. Source: Topo, July Performance Wrapped, July 2026.
Top-decile customers launch 14 sequences a month against an average of 7. Volume correlates with performance, but the reply-rate gap is 6x wider than the volume gap, so volume alone does not explain it.
Methodology: where this data comes from
The benchmark figures on this page are Topo's, not Jumplab's. They come from Topo's July Performance Wrapped, published July 2026, and represent averages across Topo's full customer base rather than a sample we selected. We have reproduced them unchanged and labelled every figure with its source.
What is ours is the interpretation: which parts of the spread a model can move, and which it cannot. Where we describe integration behaviour, that comes from deployments we have run. Where we quote a rate, it is Topo's measurement, and it is marked as such.
What does the Claude + Topo integration look like in practice?
A walkthrough of the Claude + Topo integration: how Claude builds the account list, writes the campaign, and hands execution to Topo. The walkthrough above covers the full loop, from list construction to the first reply landing back in the CRM.
Part 1: Topo outbound benchmarks, July 2026
Three metrics, measured across every Topo customer. The interesting number is not the average — it is the distance between the average and the top decile on identical tooling.
| Metric | All customers | Top 25% | Top 10% |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sequences launched | 7 | 9 | 14 |
| Positive reply rate | 0.96% | 2.13% | 7.52% |
| Open rate | 43% | 50% | 56% |

Sequences launched. Top performers run twice the campaign volume of the average customer.
Positive reply rate. The widest gap in the dataset: 7.8x between average and top decile.
Open rate. Only 1.3x spread. Deliverability is broadly solved; relevance is not.
Read together, the three rows say something specific: open rate spreads 1.3x while positive reply rate spreads 7.8x. Getting the message delivered is close to solved across the customer base. Getting it answered is not, and that gap is a content and targeting problem rather than an infrastructure one.
Part 2: Campaign of the month, and what it proves
Topo's July campaign of the month was not built on a signal. It was built on a channel decision: one customer went all-in on LinkedIn and spent every unit of available capacity.
The setup. Six team profiles connected, each sending 30 connection requests and 30 messages per day, with four LinkedIn touches in the sequence. A note on the connection request. Every message short, conversational, and almost no pitch in the first touches.
Why it works. LinkedIn carries the highest reply rates in outbound, and daily quotas cap how many attempts you get on your best-converting channel. Every unused slot expires. Topo's read: given a forced choice between all-email and all-LinkedIn, take all-LinkedIn — unless your buyers genuinely are not there.

A 10.4% positive reply rate against a 0.96% platform average is roughly eleven times the mean, achieved without any intent trigger. That is the honest frame for what an integration can and cannot do: the channel decision and the message quality carried this campaign. Claude's role is to make that quality repeatable across every sequence rather than dependent on whoever wrote this one.
Part 3: What can Claude do inside Topo?
Can Claude launch a Topo campaign?
Yes. Claude creates the campaign in Topo, sets the sequence and starts it. What changes is where the thinking happens: the model has already read your pipeline, so the campaign it launches is shaped by which deals stalled and why, not by a template someone wrote last quarter.
Can Claude update prospect lists in Topo?
Yes. Claude adds, removes and re-segments accounts inside Topo based on criteria you describe in plain language. The useful version of this is subtraction — pulling out accounts already in a live deal, already churned, or already contacted twice this quarter.
Can Claude sync Topo signals back to the CRM?
Yes. Replies, engagement and buying signals flow from Topo into Salesforce, HubSpot or Pipedrive, and Claude writes the summary a rep actually reads. The point is not the data transfer — it is that the same model reading the reply is the one updating the deal record.
Part 4: How do you connect Claude to Topo?
Scope the write actions
We agree which actions Claude may take in Topo — create campaign, edit list, update contact — and which it may not. This is the conversation that sets the timeline, so it happens first rather than last.
Connect through MCP
Topo is exposed to Claude through a Model Context Protocol server, scoped to the account you nominate. Claude inherits that account's permissions and cannot reach data the account could not already reach.
Wire the CRM loop
Signals from Topo are mapped to fields in your CRM so replies and engagement land where your reps already work, instead of in a second dashboard nobody opens.
Run one campaign, then widen
One segment, one sequence, measured against your existing reply rate. Widening scope before that number exists is how integrations become shelfware.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good positive reply rate on Topo?
The average across all Topo customers was 0.96% in July 2026. The top quartile reached 2.13% and the top decile 7.52%. If you are below 1%, you are at the platform median rather than underperforming — but the ceiling on the same tooling is roughly eight times higher. Source: Topo, July Performance Wrapped, July 2026.
Does Claude replace Topo's AI Agent?
No — they sit at different levels. Topo's AI Agent, live for all customers since August 2026, works inside Topo: it acts on every page of the platform, keeps a memory of how your team runs outbound, and proposes and implements moves you approve or edit. Claude works across the systems Topo does not see — CRM, pipeline, product data, call notes — and decides what the campaign should be before Topo executes it. Source: Topo's AI Agent announcement, August 2026.
Do we need Topo before Claude is useful for outbound?
No. Claude can write, segment and prioritise without Topo. What Topo adds is execution at volume — sourcing, sequencing and first-touch delivery. If your outbound is currently manual and low-volume, connecting Claude to your CRM alone is usually the better first step.
Does Claude replace an SDR?
No, and treating it that way is the most common way these projects fail. Claude removes the research and drafting load underneath an SDR's day. The conversations that follow a reply are still human, and they are the part that closes.
How long does the Topo integration take to go live?
Typically two weeks for a scoped connection with a defined set of write actions. The variable is rarely technical — it is how quickly whoever owns the outbound motion can agree what the model is allowed to send on the company's behalf.
What does the Topo integration cost?
Integration work is priced on-demand, because cost depends on the number of connected systems and the depth of write access. A single Topo connection with CRM sync sits at the low end. A 30-minute scoping call gets you a real number rather than a range.
Get the Topo integration scoped
Thirty minutes to agree which write actions Claude gets, how signals map back to your CRM, and what the first campaign measures against. You leave with a number, not a range.
